Opening & Closing Guide!
The Pool Company prides it's self on great service. If your pool is being opened or closed by us we ask that you please follow these steps before we arrive.
Opening [We Need]:
- Access to the Property.
- Covers must be clear of water and debris
- (If you are removing the cover yourself it must be completely off upon our arrival). [Also automatic covers should be open upon arrival.]
- VERY IMPORTANT ! Please make sure the water level is raised to 3/4 of the way up the skimmer. ( if water is to low we cannot start your pool ).
- An easy way to check is to remove the skimmer lid, if the water is to low, lie the hose right in there and raise it to operating level.
- Easy access to storage areas where equipment is kept. (steps, boards, rails etc) Make sure sheds, garages, basements, etc, are unlocked if your system is in one of these areas.
- Please check that the power to the pool system is on and not turned off inside the house.
- Same goes for the gas if you have a gas heater. We will fire the heater to check that its working but will not leave it on. We will call you if a problem is discovered at this time, or a deep cleaning is required.
- We may need water, so have the hose hooked up and check the spigot is turned on from inside the house.
- If you have scheduled a One Time Vacuum with us, please remember to call us, but only once the pool water is clear and you can see to the bottom of the deep end. We will spend the hour vacuuming out the heavy debris from the bottom of the pool and during this time water will be discharged out via our system. Please make sure you have indicated to us where you would like us to discharge the water. Keep the water very high for us to be able to do this. If you have further instructions for us regarding your One Time Vacuum, please call the office to discuss the details.
- Unfortunately we can not give you an exact time and if all of the above requirements are met there is no need for you to be home.
- You can call our office around 9am and if possible we will give you a window of time for the expected arrival of the crew.
<Dirty To Clean >
We collect your filter after the pool is closed. The grids are washed thoroughly and inspected for tears or holes. It is important to start off your season with a clean filter. Dirty filters will inhibit proper filtration. Pools will clear faster; therefore, saving money in operating and chemical costs. There is still time to get your filter cleaned before May 1st. Call our office for details.
